Hi Paul,

please check if you can log in on the local console using the user "netdiag" (password: "netdiag").

try to restart the apache using the "httpd80" command.

Is there any error message?

I also suggest to contact the support as there could be a major issue!

Kind regards

Nico

If you can get into netdiag chances are restarting the web service wont do much.

I would try running purgepatches to see if its a drive space issue. If it is this may fee up enough space to allow you to get in. Either way make sure ssh is running by using the startsshd command and open a ticket with KACE support to get it resolved.

Comments:
  • we both assume but don't know the real cause. It also can be that the box is hanging during the database check or running a backup. (esp. if the database is bloated this can run forever and a day) With trying to restart the apache we get info about the real cause. If we run into a space issue, the purging of patches would be good (but I really miss du/df in the netdiag user) It were _REALLY_ helpful if we had more info - Nico_K 11 years ago
