Another version is coming to our K1000's soon, what features do you think we'll see this time around? What enhancements would you most like to see?

  • I would really like to see the ability to retire computers (http://kace.uservoice.com/forums/82699-k1000/suggestions/1807341-retire-computers). We have a decent deployment and are frequently retiring computers through donation or recycling. It would be great to have Kace keep track of what we had while not eating up an agent license.

I'm still holding out for progress bar on the user portal, but I'm not planning on it anytime soon.

I would think we would see a lot of this.

  • On that note.... if anyone has any spare votes throw some this way. http://kace.uservoice.com/forums/82699-k1000/suggestions/1322901-user-portal-progress-bar-on-sofware-download-inst
    • I gave you 3 votes
      • Thanks. A lot of those votes came from people I work with. They are the ones wanting them the most. It's not an issue for all of our installs, but we have some that are 750 MB - 1 GB. While they wait for the file copy they have no clue that something is actually happening. Every time they complain I send them that link.
  • I think this should be one of the most important changes in 5.5 : http://kace.uservoice.com/forums/82699-k1000/suggestions/1555455-allow-to-test-smart-label-on-edit-and-to-add-more

However, the list of "must-have" features to be integrated remains (too) long. I can easily compose a list of 20 feature requests on uservoice.com that in fact already should be integrated.
    Things like
    a 64bit windows client
seem like things we need right-now. Sure, we can "work around" most of the missing features, but often these workarounds won't result in a good user-experience, and/or require more administrative effort.

I want all of my little customizations opened up :)

Admin portal home page, more control over the ui without having to fork over for the jquery plugin.  The iOS / Android app that is possibly coming might be fun to play with as well....
