Kace inventory not reflecting software changes

So I just noticed that a handful of our machines are running IE11 and we would like to remove it. Removing it is not a problem. My problem is getting the KBOX inventory to reflect that it has been removed. No matter what I do (uninstall the agent, delete the the item from the inventory) the clients still report IE 11 as "discovered". I was able to get one machine to successfully reflect the change-but two others I tried are not updating. Has anyone had this experience?

  • Not sure if it helps, we do ie detection through a custom inventory rule. Perhaps that might help. - Jbr32 10 years ago

Are you talking about the classic software inventory or the New software Catalog inventory in 5.5?

No i am talking about the new software catalog feature. However, the Kace tech I spoke with linked me to an interesting article which answered my question.
