Kace Alert Expiration

I was under the assumption that the Expiration for Kace alerts meant that it would not send the alert after that time has expired.

For instance, if I set the alert to expire after 1 hour that it would not notify users that have been offline for longer than an hour.

However, what happens is when a user finally does get back online they receive a backlog of Kace alerts.

Is there a way to change this? Thanks!
