K1000 unassigned machine assets

Is there any reason not to delete a group of machine assets that are unassigned? We don't use the ticket system. The machines are unassigned because the machine has been removed from inventory, and we don't need to keep any historical info on machines removed from inventory. Any gotchas I should be aware of before removing these items?

You just have to make sure they werent assigned anywhere else, besides tickets. Like to users, monitors. It is a database connection so if you cut it, you could disassociate records. That really is the big concern.

Leaving them in Assets doesn't harm anything but if you have turn over or are reimaging a lot then it can start to add up.

OK, thanks. We don't have any asset tracking set up in kbox because we have another db set up in Access that predates it, so I don't think there are any associations to worry about. But to be safe, I'll proceed slowly.
