01/05/2016 7900 views
I just want to copy and overwrite 1 file to a directory on my computers.
There are many ways to do it and I haven't been able to be successful on any of them.
Can someone steer me in the right direction and as a newbie a step by step.

  • In the past I was using a bat file manually to each computer.
  • Couple of questions.
    1. What OS?
    2. On a domain?
    3. KACE agent on all of them?
  • windows 7 64 bit on a domain with newest KACE agent
  • File sync under distribution is the way to go. Worked like a charm !!! THNX :)

You should use file sync under distribution that way it will make sure that file is the one you want it to be. Not a newer or older version.

if you want to use a script.  upload the file as a dependency
/c xcopy $(KACE_DEPENDENCY_DIR)\features.txt c:\ /q /y
