K1 machine actions
Afternoon all,
Does anyone know if it's possible to add in additional machine actions to the K1 appliance? OOB there are 2 which we have assigned to ping and vnc but it would be really handy if we could add in more here.

No as of right now your stuck with two. For now you can create a small form box that would pop up and have unlimited machines actions. It is a custom solution but can get the job done.

No as of right now your stuck with two. What i've done in the past is create a small form box (kind of like a mini menu) that would pop up and have unlimited machines actions. Its custom but it gets the job done.

@dpyett I just came across your question and concern. Currently in versions 5.4.70402 and the latest 5.476847 (aka 5.4 SP1) the options are available for you to add Machine Actions to suit your needs. I tested the offering and added 10 Machine Actions in my "sandbox" Appliance. (you can add more if needed)

FYI, 5.4, which is slated to be released later this year, is targeted to have an unlimited quantity of Machine Actions. r2

You can change these default actions on the Admin>Settings>Control Panel>Machine Actions. (See: http://forum.kbox.com/support/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=1&id=755&artlang=en)
You can choose from the drop-down boxes, but you also have the option to write a custom command for anything the client machines have installed.

Didn't realize you were looking for more than 2 buttons, rather than just different actions.
There is a feature request for more machine action buttons and to make them bigger to more easily differentiate them:
