Help !
I have deployed Java Runtime 5 Update 6 via group policy as and msi (untouched) with an mst file, but cant seem to find anywhere to put what proxy i wish to use could anyone help?? as by default its set to direct connection but we use a proxy server
or to set java to default to "Use Browser Settings" once installed

You can define the proxy settings within the deployment.properties file which is located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment
Since it is a text file and not an .ini file it's not that easy to modify. If you have Wise Package Studio, use WiseScript and add an Insert Line into Text File custom action for example.

Hello Cheers for the quick reply i was just wondering if you know what i need to change/add to this file?
We have a network of 1,500 users that all have roaming profiles i dont need to put that into all of there profiles do i? ( e.g Applcation Data)
I can just deploy java with that file edited the way i need it under
C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment
