Java Advanced Imaging v1.1.3

I am trying to create a silent deploy and use group policy to deploy Java Advanced Imaging v1.1.3
I've downloaded jai-1_1_3-lib-windows-i586-jre.exe, trying to install on Windows XP
If I run the exe on my workstation the installer unwraps 13 files.
I have copied these to a share and tried to run Java Advanced Imaging 1.1.3 for JRE.msi
I get teh error this installation cannot be run by directly launching the MSI package. You must run setup.exe

How can I make a silent install for JAI?

I haven't looked but, in all probability, the MSI can be fooled into believing it's being executed by Setup.EXE by setting a property called 'ISSETUPDRIVEN' to '1' in a transform applied to the MSI.

ISSETUPDRIVEN
Since the extract did not create a transform how do I create one?

Get hold of Orca or InstEd - they are both free MSI editors which you can use to create transform files.

Orca is part of the SDK and InstEd is at instedit.com

Cheers,
Rob.

haha.. you should be able to create a new transform from one on the menus?

Sorry I use Orca normally. If you still can't find it let me know and I'll install it and have a look.
