ISUpdateService

Hi Folks,

Installshield currently charge a fee of appro $30 per licensed app that references this ISUpdateService. I know of an entry in the directory table and two custom actions that Installshield creates. Does anybody know of the best way to ensure that this Update service is not referenced and hence the charge is not applied. Installshield are not forthcoming with this.

Regards

Wow, that's sneaky. Glad I use Wise! [:)]

You can manually check it with ORCA. You can write a VB Script to check it as well. There are quite a few MSI objects & methods, including a way to scan an MSI with a SQL style query.
