Issue with silent install of Oracle Data Access Components 11.2.0.2.1

I had created a response file for the setup.exe and when I run the setup.exe with the response file using it gives an error : SEVERE:OUI-10133: Invalid staging area.There are no top level components for windows NT, Windows 2000 available for installation in this staging area.

  • Have a look in your .rsp file, there will be a 'from location' that is probably hard-coded to where you created your response file from. You can change this to a relative path - there is an example further up in one of the comments - see if that helps. - dunnpy 10 years ago
  • Thank you !! After changing the "FROM_LOCATION" .rsp file it worked, But I have to create a a batch file for silent install through SCCM. Modifying .rsp file worked on my computer. How
    about creating a package in sccm. Please advice...... - gootysreeram 10 years ago
  • Did you change it to a relative path?

    I've looked it up in one of my OUI packages and it's set to:

    FROM_LOCATION="..\stage\products.xml"

    The only thing SCCM might not like is running directly from the DP, you might need to download into the cache and run, it will then have a local path and that path will be relative to where the installer is run from. - dunnpy 10 years ago
