Is there somewhere in KACE showing how many machines I can have the KACE agent installed on?
I think that I might be out of allowed agents installed. I just tried to install an agent on a workstation and it shows that it was installed, but it does not show up in my inventory.

If I recall, Kace only counts machines currently showing up in your inventory as counting against your licenses. So if you have ~500 machines in inventory, then that’s how many seats your using up. You can check how many total seats you have by going to Settings, Server Maintenance and clicking the little gold question mark next to your Key under License Information
Usually the K1 will warn you if you’re getting close to your limit.

If you go to Home > Summary there should be a message telling you if you're out of licenses.
