I am building a Business Objects Universe for the K1000 database and would like access to the schema. Has this been made available by Dell, or has anyone else created one?

  • were you ever able to find a schema/data definition? Its absolutely ridiculous that they dont have this information out somewhere. That link they reference leads you to all the releases and ive clicked through a bunch of them and dont see a schema file... if its in there somewhere, can someone tell me exactly where?
  • no I never got any further. I dont personally have a support account, so I couldnt dig in to the link below, although it sounds like it woulnt have been so helpful anyway.

We do post schema info.  Please see http://www.kace.com/support/resources/kb/article/What-is-the-schema-of-the-K1000-appliance-database for additional information.

  • That KB Article says you release the schema; but then if you look in the files area IT IS NOT LISTED for most versions/releases! There are some older versions of the K1000 with SCHEMA files in the download area; but never version do _not_ have a SCHEMA file (even though I know they have updated the schema in some recent versions).

I think they talked about releasing it during the last Kace Konference, but I don't know if it actually happened. You might have better luck if you submitted a support ticket requesting it.
