Is "KBSERVICE.SHUTDOWN" a legitimate file, distributed by the K1000?
Is KBSERVICE.SHUTDOWN a legitimate file, distributed by the K1000?
This has surfaced on a few workstations as C:\KBSERVICE.SHUTDOWN.
We do not recognize this.

Thanks for the answer. I do want to seek more information about what that file specifically does, and why it was observed on only a few workstations. That would be the answer to the question posted 11/29/2015 linked here. If I can determine this, I will post to that thread. - Duane 8 years ago

Hello,
yes it is a legitimate file. Sometimes the agent takes some 'notes' about the status of some operation using empty files as markers.
