Is it possible to modify the Asset Management --> Contracts screen to include additional fields?

We would like to be able to add more than 2 attachments to a contract and also would like to add a field for indicating the cost, in dollars, for the contract.

Yes, it should be, go to Asset Management > Asset types, open the contract type to which you want to add the fields. The at Asset Fields click the blue plus on the right to add in your fields as needed
