Please help me in capturing the internet settings of IE8 into an .msi file?

Regards,

As far back as I can remember, MS has made available a toolkit for creating customised installations of IE. v8 is no exception. See here.

Thanks. But the MSI file is already created. There is another application that uses the Advanced settings of the Internet Explorer. When I check the Internet options - it is not what I set in the registry (i.e. HKLM, having set the Security_HKLM_only DWORD to 1 in the required Settings). The Security_HKLM_only solution works in my Windows XP/ IE7 setup but not in my Win 7/ IE 8 setup. The other way was through modification of the group policy in the preference mode, but I can't find the SSL/TLS options there (in the Advanced settings category).

In that case, why not simply use a lightweight snapshot tool (e.g. InstallWatch) to take a gap capture of the changes?
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
