InstallShield Uninstall Question
I have many apps that were installed using InstallShield. These apps are MSI based apps yet InstallShield does NOT put the Product Code in the Uninstall String within the Registry.....they put a line that looks like this......
RunDll32 C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\INSTAL~1\engine\6\INTEL3~1\Ctor.dll,LaunchSetup "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{F274FAC9-B444-41CD-AB0C-DC90B36B7CCC}\Setup.exe" -l0x9 ARP
Here is what I have done.
I ran this setup with a -r to create a RECORD file (setup.iss)
I then go to a machine that still has this app installed and I copy my setup.iss file to the same folder where setup.exe is.
But, when I run this with a -s -SMS it does NOT uninstall the application. I have tried .......
-y
-s -SMS
UNINSTALL -s -SMS
and many other switches.
How do I get this or any app like this to Uninstall in SILENT MODE?

I also ran this and produced an Uninstall.ISS file. When I run the setup.exe again with a /S it still will not unintall. And I do have the .ISS file in the same folder as the setup.exe.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,so that the conversation will remain readable.
