Installshield 2015 - MSI basic project, Shortcuts are not highlighting as "new" on a clean install.

Seems this is the default behavior for MSI basic project. Ive never been able to get my new start menu shortcuts to use the windows "new" programs highlighted with a clean install type of behavior. They just show up as if it was installed for a while already. How to I accomplish this?

Thanks

Your users must be extraordinarily picky if they need new shortcuts highlighted!!

This link shows how to prevent them showing as newly installed - this may provide a direction for items to check for.

From personal observation, if the app is deployed in system context, the app shortcut highlighting does not show up regardless. YMMV.
