Installer fails while reading the function in DLL
Hi,
I created a Custom Action DLL using Visual Studio 2005. I have integrated the dll with my .msi file. The dll file will check for the preinstalled softwares and other error messages if the preinstalled softwares are not present while installing the .msi. The .msi is working fine Windows XP and vista and it is not working windows 2003 server machine. Any idea why the .msi file is not installing in windows 2003 server. It is returning value 3 while reading the dll in the installer log. Kindly help me out in resolving this issue

Install the MSI with verbose logging (/L*v) on the 2003 server, that should give you the direction why it's failing.
If you've already done this it would be kinda hard to help you if we don't know what the DLL does in more detail.
