Image capture not an available option when booting to KBox

I'm doing a trial for the K1000 and K2000, and I've done a deployment, but now that I'm trying to capture an image, I've hit a dead end.  When I PXE boot to the K2000, the instructions say I need to select "Imaging" from the reference computer.  I do not see this at all.  All I see is the two or three boot environments I set up for the Win 7 deployment.

Help.

  • We have a few of our own KBE Images, I can see Imaging, but only have the option to Send an image, not to capture one. How do I add the Capture Option Back in? Do I need to create another KBE? Another Tech Built the ones we have. - jevahl 10 years ago

Did you see the 'Boot Manager' (a black screen with selectable KBE menus?)

like 'Boot from Local Hard Disk' , Windows Deployment and Recovery [KBE_x86_33] or your own uploaded KBE?

If you have, then you should be able to select your KBE, and it will bring you to the 'Deployment & Recovery Console' Main Menu with White Background and 'Imaging' is on the 2nd row.

  • For the OP's future reference, the screen where you can either choose to boot to the local hard drive or into a KBE is called the Boot Manager. Whenever documentation refers to the Boot Manager, that is the menu it is talking about. - mpace 12 years ago

When you do a PXE boot you should see the "K2000 Systems Deployment Menu" which is a black screen with dark grey pictures of compupters, users, cds, etc that lists your KBE's. Choose the desired KBE and from there it will take you to the menu described by Aaron.
