I need a VBscript which can update windows host file once i run the script.

#entries which script should update in hosts file

IP add  SERVER1

IP add  SERVER1-BK

  • Here is a super tip from dell world 2013


    Within your hosts file on Mac and pcs create an entry for

    Kbox pointing to your k1000's ip

    The reason is that when a client fowls up, instead of looking for your server it looks for Kbox. Having the entry in your hosts file will allow the client to find your server. - Jbr32 10 years ago
  • Who, on God's greeen Earth, still uses the HOSTS file?!? Do it properly and add an entry to DNS. Jeeeeeeez....
