I am Told that Delete Downloaded files does not work in V5.3.53053 and is a Bug. Does anyone have any Ideas on how to remove downloaded files after installation for this version of the K1000?

I have software that is being deployed silently and would like the downloaded files in the Dell Kace location to be removed after the installion completes.  Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated...

I'd write a script that checks the C:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\downloads\ exists and then deletes all the folder/files inside with the command del /f /q just my thoughts.

  • That assumes you have no new MIs running or you would delete files that may still be needed.

    I'd add a smart label that shows the software in question is installed, then delete the numbered folder for that particular MI. - jknox 11 years ago
