How to store Gmail data in offline mode?

It's been 2 years since I had a gmail account but now I've forgotten its password. Now I have to open this gmail again or somehow backup gmail data. So that I can store Gmail mailbox offline and open it easily without any email client.

You can use Google Takeout to backup all your Google data. This Google solution takes backup of Google data including emails, attachment files, etc. It allows users to download their data in some steps.

You can reset the password and then you can login again to your gmail account. Once you have access to the Gmail account you can backup your Gmail data to MBOX format. You can google for the process of backing up gmail content to MBOX format.
