Do you have MSVCR80.dll on the computer?

If you have it, where is it?

@DarkFang: that KB article concerns memory leaks caused by accessing the objects within MSOXMLMF.DLL. It has nothing to do with the actual issue, i.e. that the application cannot find the C++ runtime DLL.

PP123: The application tells you that it can't find that file. To my mind, you have an issue with the side-by-side information held by the system in question. In all likelihood, it's either missing or points to the wrong location for the file. You can test that pretty simply by copying the runtime files (MSDN will have a complete list) into the folder where WRAPPER.EXE is installed.

Does the problem occur on all workstations or just one? How does it behave on a clean build?

Dependency Walker will tell you which specific side-by-side version of the dll the application requires...
Which is nice...

Do you really want me to send you to http://www.lmgtfy.com ?

If that's too hard, how about extracting the package contents and looking at the files?

There is a simple solution which works for me i.e. by simply renaming the file at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\MSOXMLMF.DLL TO MSOXMLMF.DLL.OLD.

The error appeared after installing Office 2007 so, just rename the file, the application will get old DLL file and run correctly.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
