How To Push Out Software from the KACE 'Catalog'

My KACE K1000 has a TON of software titles in it's catalog (Team Viewer, VMWare Workstation, Citrix Receiver, etc.).  I suppose I should be able to push out any of the software that is listed in the catalog.  Is that correct?   If so, how can I do so?

Thank you.

  • The software does not automatically get stored in the K1000. You must attach your files to Inventory Items and then Use Managed installs or Scripts to deploy them.

Unfortunately that is not how it works. The `Software Catalog` is mainly a list of software either found installed on computers in your environment, or software titles that your KBOX is aware of. From there you can add custom software titles (anything developed in house or what not) or upload installer files for those software titles. Be aware that the catalog lists everything by version number so you will have a ton of "Google Chrome" and "Firefox" ...etc. for each version of those titles. Also, just because you have uploaded the installers it does not mean KBOX knows how to install them. You'll have to write a script or configure a deployment to get applications out to your clients.
