How to install VMTools on K2000?
I've read the link below and a half dozen others related to linked to\from it. I was able to update VMTools on our K1K, but the K2K returns the msg in the image below the link. I've upgraded the K2K's VMTools in the past, but no joy today.
ESX v5.0.0, 1311175
If the steps below work on a 1000, but fail on a 2000, what are my options to install the tools?
I'm less concerned with getting this specific method to work, than with just getting them installed so I can move on today. ...if that matters.

instructions for updating tools on K1000 and K2000 are different I believe. murbot was querying why the K2000 install wasn't working - KaseUser 9 years ago

Thank you. I should have posted back that I resolved it not long after posting the question. It was earlier this year, but your suggested link pretty much covers what I did. We had some other issues with a mis-named iso. Too many cooks in the kitchen at the time here. :-)
