How to install MSDN 2005 silent on D: ???

Hello,

we have a small C:-partition and a big D:.

I want to install the MSDN 2005 silent/scripted on the D:-Drive.

When i try :

...\msdn2005\setup.exe TARGETDIR=D:\asd\MSDN2005 /qb /l*v d:\logs\msdn2005.log

It installs 10 MB on D: and 1.5GB on C: => Problem: C:-Partition exploding.

I inspected the MSI and tried:

...\msdn\setup.exe TARGETDIR=D:\asd\MSDN2005 ProgramFilesFolder=d:\asd\msdn2005PFF /qb /l*v d:\logs\msdn2005.log MSDN_QTR.3643236F_FC70_11D3_A536_0090278A1BB8=D:\asd\MSDN2005_QTR

Now the very big part of it is installed on d:, but MSDN isn't working.[:@]

I DON'T want to repackage it!

This problem seems connected to ms-help, MS Help2.0 and the kind of installation wise is using for helpfiles.

Any help or idea is appreciated.

Freca

Try adding ROOTDRIVE="D:\" to the command line.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
