What do you mean?

Aspnet_regiis.exe doesn't have a GUI?

Or do you want to hide the command window when it's launched from a CA? If thats the case launch it from a vbscript CA ensuring the Shell.run initWindowStyle argument is 0.

Thanks Jamie for replying to the message.but i wanted to know whether there are any switches like /q or /quiet to install silently instead of using a script.

- Google
- Search term 'aspnet_regiis -appdeploy'
- First hit = http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/k6h9cz8h(VS.80).aspx

This stuff gets harder by the day. I think I need to change career...

So the answer to your question is no!

Run it using vbscript if you really want to hide the output and cmd window.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
