What is the best method to advertise a dll that is used as ActiveX control? I'm trying to have it self-heal if the dll is removed. No luck yet.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You need to populate the Class, ProgId & TypeLib tables for advertising it.

The easiest would be to capture the ActiveX installation from a website.

Not all ActiveX controls are web-based, though...my VBScript-friendly interface to MSI.DLL, for example.
