Yes, sure. There are some steps.
But, can you please tell THE steps that you followed on your own to resolve your query?.
I hope, posting the query on this forum is NOT your first step. Is it?

Before you do ANYTHING, read and digest Phil Wilson's The Definitive Guide To Windows Installer. Also, bookmark the MSDN and TechNet pages dealing with Windows Installer.

Hi bini,

which packaging tool u are using?
u can refer MSDN also.
For installing and uninstalling services via MSI ServiceControl and ServiceInstall table are used.
The value in Event column in ServiceControl table provides various options for start, stop and delete service during install and uninstall as per requirement.

Hi Bini,

We have implemented this in our packages successfully. Let me know if you are using wise package studio, I can send you the detailed document...give your email id.

The document will explain you how to stop and start the service.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
