How to Add New Predefined folder ( MST FILE )
Hi all
I am using installshield and making a MST file , where i had to place a shourtcut to AllUsersProfile\Desktop\AndTheShourcut.ink
Under Files and Folders, Destination Folder, right click, and then i can see all the Predefined folder, but [AllUsersProfile] predefined folder is not there.
I tried to create the folder manually but it just create a standard folder.
I also tried to create it in the tabel and try to add under - Directory Directory_Parent Default_Dir
Directory = AllUsersProfile
Directory_Parent = Target
Default_Dir = ( I dont know what to write here )

Set the ALLUSERS property to 1 and use DesktopFolder as the shortcut directory instead.

ORIGINAL: SKSAs Kim (AngelD) says, use 'Directory = DesktopFolder' instead and, to answer your *actual* question, set 'Default_Dir' to whatever you require the shortcut's "Working Directory" to be. If you don't need a WD, leave that cell empty.

Thnx angel i will try that.
I thought that DesktopFolder and then set ALLUSERS to 2, so that the shourtcut will work for each user or is it oki to do ur way and this way.

ORIGINAL: SKSPardon? That cell has NOTHING to do with any pre-defined folder(s), other than you would use a pre-defined folder name in the cell.

Do you mean that the s/c isn't appearing where you expect it to appear when you install?
