Are you talking about printers that are installed on computers, or actual printers on the network?
For the latter, it would be agentless discovery assuming you are on a version that supports that function: http://blog.kace.com/2014/10/31/k1000-kloser-look-agentless-inventory/

The link above refers to a nice blog article that leads to a KB regarding discovering Windows or ESX device using SNMP. Does anyone have any links to someone detailing how to discover and show useful data for network printers? - reneed33 9 years ago

I can't find anything specific, but it's just a SNMP discovery with a full walk.
