How can i get a script to work under Distribution?

I have 2 scripts that copy shortcuts to windows XP and windows 7 machines, i want all machines that log onto our domain to have these shortcuts. IT works fine when i run the scripts in a schedule, but i would prefer this to work through Distribution.  Any ideas? Do i have to create an EXE out of the script file? will it then work?

Answer Summary:
The first step is to create a custom inventory rule that checks for the presence of the shortcuts (or one of them). You will need that software item to base the managed install on. Next, create a zip file that contains a script that will create your shortcuts, using either commands to actually create them, or that will copy the shortcut files. Upload the zip file to the software item. Create a managed install with your software item and specify Configure Manually for the Installation Command and enter the name of the script that will create the shortcuts. Remember to uncheck the box to prepend msiexec.exe. When KACE distributes the software it will push the zip to the machine, unzip it, and then run the command specified in the installation command.
