This can be the result of corruption or simply a bad MSI setup. If authoring the MSI, search for the value identified in the error (2) in your package and verify it is valid. If you are installing a vendor-provided MSI setup, contact the vendor.

The Windows Installer Error 2714 occurs when there is invalid default value has been captured by the repackaging tool, for instance Window~\Windows\resource.... which is created in the temp folder when the application is installed while capturing and automatically deleted when the installation is completed but the repackaging tool has captured the same path which is not valid once the application is installed... this can be rectified by manually changing the default folder value in the Directory table also we have to see that no junk folder entry is captured in the create folder table...
