This normally revolves around .NET problems installing to the GAC. If you are authoring such an MSI, see this article for some helpful procedures.
This has also been reported as an error when installing certain applications without first removing a previously installed Beta version of the software.
Note: This error is available with Windows Installer v2.0 and later.

Error 1935 caused by the installation of Visual Studio with the DOTNET Framework is also caused by virusscanners like sophos.Make a custom action in the beginning of the package to kill this service temporary and you're error free.

Reboot the machine and install the application again. Now it will install the application. It happens due to the VC++ (All GAC realted files) related files will not be registrered in the machine properly. To check the error create a log file u can see this inforamtion in it.
