Help with MSI (Microsoft Installer) error 1622: There was an error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable.

To learn what the "specified log file" is may require viewing logs. Check the Application Log in Event Viewer (eventvwr.exe).
If you cannot find a reference here, see our tip on turning on Windows Installer logging here. Once logging is enabled, attempt the action again and look in your %TEMP% folder for the installer log file. Far more detail on the problem will be provided here.
The location of the log file may not be accessible due to security limitations- or it may be that a corrupt version of the log file exists and cannot be updated.
