Help with MSI (Microsoft Installer) error 1324: The folder path ''[2]'' contains an invalid character.

This error normally occurs as a result of an invalid registry entry, where a value identifying a path contains an invalid character. Search the registry for the path in question. See the Microsoft KB Article listed below for a quick step-by-step for completing this process.

Got this when short file names were missing in the directory and shortcut tables.

Directory.DefaultDir & Shortcut.Name columns.
