I have tried "http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html" but that only holds the .exe's for differnt platforms...not the .msi :(

I assume, you have got a distribution license.
Have you tried it here? https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=distribution_form&pv=fp

Yeah not getting a lot of response from there.
The archived stuff dosnt have it in .msi form either.
its ok though.
ive finally found out that to get autoupdate disabled in 10.3 of adobe flash you have to....
change settings in teh control pannel applet as you like.
then copy the settings.sol file from "\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys" to users directory of your choice ( by active setup probably is the best way ).
I would post it for everyone but im busy trying to package the bloody thing to deploy tonight.

Thanks for your effort mate, but thats a .exe...the .msi for this version seems to have dissappeared.

Not to worry, ive packaged the new 10.3 with the auto update "settings.sol" file and its being put through its paces.
Guess i should do a info shot for appdeploy.

Thought the msi distro was nothing more than a wrapper for the exe anyway?

Anyway nice to know Adobe still sneak stuff into their installs, seriously do we really need a control applet for this?
