Has iTunes 11.1.5 x64 been broken in terms of MSI installations?

I normally install these in a VM that is part of a MDT 2013 task sequence.

Normally the MSIs would be installed in the following order:

  1. Apple Application Support
  2. Apple Mobile Device Support
  3. (Bonjour/Software Update)
  4. iTunes
However, in the most recent build, Application Support installs correctly as MSI, but the Mobile Device Support keeps failing to start, and then complains that the Application Support is missing :(
Same deal then happens to iTunes. 
Anyone experience the same issues?

  • [sigh...] Have you verbosely logged the install of the MDS MSI?
  • Will do that next time. In the meanwhile, the full installation from the source file works, just that it's not silent.
