Has anybody packaged MMC 3.0 ?
Hi,
I have been working on packaging Microsoft Management Console 3.0. But, it doesn't work, as it does not update the existing 2.0 files. While installing the package, it throws an error saying cic.dll is a windows protected file and cannot be over-written... Though the installation continues, and the eventlog says the installation was successful. But when I check the version it is still MMC 2.0, the files too remain the earlier version.
Can anybody suggest me what can be done in such a scenario ?

Once disable file protection and install
If it is successfull, after installation copy that cic.dll to windows dll backup folder and enable file protection. Be careful that the modifications of cic.dll will be healthy to OS
