Google Earth Pro 6.2

Hello All,

Has anyone worked the google earth pro 6.2?  I am running into the following issues.  After extracting the msi, I created the mst and made some changes in the registries.  First I had to enter the user id and license info.  Secondly, I also made an entry into the HKCU for user to actually bypass the Tip screen, and I have set this key as the key path.  Problem is that, I am not seeing this being recongnized when running this with command line.  This either doesn't even register the user id & license and if it does, then it wouldn't recognize the "enableTip"="false" key in HKCU.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

AK

Is the user-context for the installation and running the application the same? If not you need to make sure the msi will self repaire, thus creating the HKCU entries for the current user if they are missing. There should be plenty of info on this topic if you search this site.

As emillj said please check if you have created an advertised installation.
also if you had created a advertised one, check to see if there are any custom actions which maybe changing the values on the fly.

Check if it is putting these settings only in HKCU not in other file under appdata or anywhere. or check the component if that has been created correctly or not.
