Framepkg.exe package

I am trying to created a msi package from framepkg.exe (ePO McAfee Agent) using wise.
It looks like it creates the msi package from me but when I execute it on my test pc, it only put the application in ADD/Remove program. The M in the icon tray does not appear. Can someone provide what might I been doing incorrectly? Can this be done with WISE or should I look at another workaround?

I know nothing of that application but my guess would be that it uses a service and that you package either doesn't start that service or maybe doesn't even create it correctly.

BTW, this forum is concerned with errors returned by the Windows Installer engine. Your post should have been made in the 'Package Development' forum. A moderator may well move it.

If I recall correct; framepkg.exe will create the MSI for you so no need to use Wise

I think frampkg.exe should not be packaged.

It just apply policies after fetching it from server.

Definately try and find the vendor MSI for this.....

However you should have three services running:

McAfee Framework Service
McAfee Task Manager
McAfee McShield

These are the registry settingd for the services on my PC Version 3.6.0.608
