Filter meeting invite tickets in KACE

Curious whether there is a mechanism to filter and redirect (to another queue or archive) Outlook calendar invite tickets that come into a queue. These are sent a lot inadvertently, arrive as a ticket and I'd like to shift them out of the primary ticket queue. Thoughts?

You can prevent the calendar invites (usually .ics) under Service Desk | Configuration |Queue Detail | Ticket Attachment Restrictions.
And with a Custom Ticket Rule you can redirect the mail too.

Hi Nico_K thanks for your response! So it looks like Ticket attachment restrictions ask me to specify 'allowed' attachments only. Am I right in thinking that I'll need to allow all other file types in this list and leave out .ics? Is there any other way to handle these such as a rule which flags .ics tickets automatically as a particular category and then using a custom ticket rule to redirect them to another queue or archive?

Comments:
  • yes, this is correct. Since only a few file types make sense (do you need .exe files as attachment?) this would not be the worst thing.
But on the other hand you can also use a Custom Ticket Rule to delete the ics (or other calendar options) - Nico_K 2 years ago
