Software Deployment

I need to create an filemaker pro 8.5 for my users, I look at CD, there is files folder on the CD, it contains filemaker.msi and setup.exe, the problem I have are following:

1). When I use create package with this command msiexec /i "filemaker.msi" /quiet /norestart, and send to user workstation, it show filemaker pro 8.5 icon on the desktop. but when I open my MYGFD.FT7 icon, which is someone created it. this icon is for my users when they click them, it will automatically launch filemaker pro 8.5. but I got error.

2). If I use setup.exe install manually to users, then disable desktop icon, when finished, I can launch MYGFD.FT7 icon, it will successfully open filemaker pro8.5 without any problem.

QUESTION?

Can I use setup.exe file with wise package studio repacking, compile to MSI file, then deploy to my users? or should I use MSI file from the CD repacking again with new MSI file?
