With respect, how would anybody know what causes an exception on your unique workstation build?

[engages head with wall]Run ProcMon, run ProcMon, run ProcMon.....as soon as the exception occurs, stop ProcMon and look at its output. If you don't like ProcMon, use some other process/file/registry monitoring tool.

My guess is that you'll see a file or registry access error of some kind.

"access violation" are often caused by permission issues.
Does it work with an admin-user?
If so you need look a bit more with ProcMon.

We tried with ProcMon, but we didn't get any solution from this. That may be because ProcMon isn't designed to give you a solution, but to show you what's going on, file- and registry-wise, on your test system. TBH - no offence intended - if you can't use a a basic trouble-shooting tool like a process monitor, you probably need to hand over to someone more capable.

So here is a Tip of the Day ;)

Select the "Count Occurrences" option from the Tools menu
Select the Result column and hit the Count button
Double-click "ACCESS DENIED" in the listview

You'll now see all operations that was "denied"
