Extract an ICON

I have an icon in my MSI that i'm trying to extract it's under Icon table how can i accomplish this? I try to extract whatever was in the MSI with msiexec /a PathToMSIFile /qb TARGETDIR=DirectoryToExtractTo but i get the internal error. Can someone please explain it to me how can i accomplish this?

It's extremely easy with InstEdit. Download it from http://www.instedit.com/, open the .msi installer and goto the Icon table, select the row you want to export and press the little save to button on the data column (click the cell).

so i imported the table after exporting into my MSI but i am not sure how to point my shortcut to the new icon file which is under Icon table. Any help?

I installed the msi to my virtual box and the icon from the icon table gets installed under "C:\WINDOWS\Installer".. I copied it over to the table and now my shortcuts are pointing to the correct icon i wanted. Thanks for ur help on this
