Error 1921 windows installer.
Hey, I get this (see below) everytime I try to install my new ipod. as you can imagine, it's very annoying. I've used the msdn help service, it says to use MMC and add/remove snap ins, but this help only applies for installing msOffice. Do you think the same routine would work by clicking the Automatic tab for startup for iPod Service? this isn't my computer so I'm a little hesitant and thought I'd ask before I mess up the computer:) thanks.

Do you know if you have Administrator rights on this computer?

yeah that was the problem, the account I use has the administrative rights. I tried to change the Startup Type as Automatic but it won't let me (it says Error 5 unable to open service iPod Services for writing on local computer). The console mode is on Author mode, which should let me change it but doesn't. Also it won't allow me to stop the service this way. When installing, for some reason it tries to stop the service and fails, and then won't install. I don't know if this normal procedure for every installation of the ipod or not.
