Email to Ticket on K1000

Trying to get this setup. Question I have is if I use an SMTP tester and have it send an email to the address of the queue on the k1000 appliance, shouldn't it generate a ticket in that queue?

If it sends and email to the Service Desk queue email address, then yes.

  • That is what I thought. If it didn't, are there any log files I could check to maybe see what happened? - JayB9x 3 years ago
    • you can use the built in tester and also can check the logs under Settings |Logs
There are some special SD logs like Service Desk Incoming Mail Log and Service Desk Incoming Mail Error Log - Nico_K 3 years ago
      • Thanks man. I should have looked a bit more through the menu. I just assumed it was something I was going to have to find on the server using cli or something. Working on the last few projects, I wasn't expecting this kind of convince built into the web interface. :) - JayB9x 3 years ago

The senders email address must be linked to a kace user if the queue restricts who can log a ticket.
