I'm guessing that you already have the answer to whether both versions will install side-by-side by now - you have the software and surely have the ability to test the installations yourself.
Or maybe you contacted the software vendor for advice?
There is some technical investigation you could do - comparing GUIDs etc, or using MSIDIFF, for example - but do the basics first - try installing the software!
If they do install side-by-side then you could use a lightweight snapshot tool, such as InControl, to snap the differences and changes between the two installations and compare.
I suppose the reason you haven't had any replies is that you've posed a question that you could easily answer yourself.
