Has anybody used the Desktop shortcut wizzard?
I tried it and keep getting this log error
Unable to launch program (because file does not exist): C:\Program Files\KACE\KBOX\\packages\kbots\1107\ShortcutCreator.exe -location="Desktop" -name="Basic2Benchm" -target="C:\Program Files\Basics2Benchmarks\Basics2Benchmarks.exe" -args="" -startin="C:\Program Files\Basics2Benchmarks" False?
Unable to launch program (System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The system cannot find the path specified
at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithCreateProcess(ProcessStartInfo startInfo)
at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start()

Do I need to uplaod ShortcutCreator.exe to the dependancy area for it to work? And if so where do I find that program?

thanks.

  • KBOX\\ has 2 slashes after KBOX it looks like it should be
    C:\Program Files\KACE\KBOX\packages\kbots\1107\ShortcutCreator.exe

No, the script copies ShortcutCreator.exe to the client machine since it is already a dependency.

If you look in C:\Program Files\KACE\KBOX\\packages\kbots\1107\ShortcutCreator.exe
does ShortcutCreator.exe exist?

Are you using a replication server in your KBOX configuration?

I ran the scrip again this morning and it doesn't even create the 1107 folder.
Perhaps I should create the scrip again?

I regenerated the scrip and it did work this time.
I must have done something in error.

thanks for your help
